Dragonball Evolution "Tribute"
I love the Dragon Ball anime and manga and I enjoyed Dragon Ball Z as well (at least until the Buu Saga). Didn't care much for GT.
As a fan of the series, Dragonball Evolution is one of the worst adaptations I've ever seen.
Simply put: Dragon Ball does NOT translate well in live action!
The people who made this piece of shit movie tried real hard to make this movie realistic, and they failed miserably. What made Dragon Ball fun was its over-the-top action and adventure (i.e. characters with big hair, giant energy attacks that could destroy an entire planet, flying clouds that could take you anywhere, anthropomorphic creatures, etc.). Dragonball Evolution lacks those things, but if the movie had them, it would come off as extremely cheesy.
See what I mean? Dragon Ball can't translate into a good live-action movie and this proves it. It's an extremely hard task.
Not to mention this movie has abysmal writing, terrible acting, piss poor casting, awful directing, and it's full of inaccuracies. The main plot is about a teenage boy named Goku who fights to save the world from Piccolo and get the girl (Chi-Chi) he wants from his high school. Now does that remind you of Dragon Ball? I didn't think so.
So what I decided to do here is compile a "tribute" music video for this godawful movie, and there's only one song that fits appropriately:
South Park's "Let's Fighting Love" from the episode Good Times With Weapons.
This was inspired by jedite1's review of Street Fighter: The Movie. He would use this song during stupid fight scenes.
Hope you enjoy!
